Re-Cost Activation setting

This setting is applicable only if RE COST type re-entry is configured in your strategy.

This setting defines when the RE COST condition checking should get activated, meaning, how soon after Target or Stoploss hit, should the RE COST condition checking start. RE COST condition checking is nothing but checking if the price has come back to the initial entry price or not.

This setting Re-Cost Activation can be found under the Advanced Settings:

This setting has 2 options:

1. Next Minute (Stockmock) (Default Setting):

When this setting is selected, after the Stoploss or Target of the individual leg is hit, the checking of the RE COST condition starts in the next minute only. This means that checking of the price to see if it has come back to the initial entry price or not - so as to re-enter at initial entry price will happen next minute onwards only.

This is the setting you need to select if your strategies are backtested on Stockmock.in.

In the case where advance placement of re -entry order is selected in that case the advance entry order for RE COST reentry will be placed in the next minute after the stoploss or target is hit.

Example:

If RE COST type re-Entry is configured for Stoploss hit for an indivudual leg, then the flow of events will be as follows:

12:03:35 - Individual leg Stoploss hit
12:04:00 - RE COST condition checking starts / RE COST reentry advance order placed.

2. Immediate:

When this setting is selected, after the Stoploss or Target of the individual leg is hit, the checking of the RE COST condition starts immediately in the same minute.  This means that checking of the price to see if it has come back to the initial entry price or not - so as to re-enter at initial entry price will happen immediately after the individual leg stoploss or target hit event occurs.

In the case where advance placement of re -entry  is selected in that case the advance entry order for RE COST reentry will be placed after 2-3 secs of the individual leg stoploss or target hit even occurs.

This is just an advance flexibility added to the RE COST type reentry feature and can be ignored if you are running strategies that are backtested on Stockmock.in.

Example:

If RE COST type re-Entry is configured for Stoploss hit for an indivudual leg, then the flow of events will be as follows:

12:03:35 - Individual leg Stoploss hit
12:03:38 - RE COST condition checking starts / RE COST reentry advance order placed.
